Ya barred!

John Smiths Ya Barred! - YouTube

I’ve only tried it once and it poured down lol

It just looks stupid with no roof.

I loved having the roof off my S2. Its totally the way forward. All of the “stuck in their ways, old fuddy duddies” need to free their mind and try something new!!

It doesn’t look to bad with the roof off!, but certainly not as good as the Elise, you can tell it wasn’t designed to be run with it off.
But who cares!, it feels wonderful zipping down some country lanes as the summer sun goes down.

Heretics,…burn them,…burn them all

I don’t think it looks too bad, maybe 80% as good as an elise with the roof off.

Have you done the softop conversion or just going to risk the odd shower?

It will be fine…until that one tiny stone flips off the tyre of the car you are about to overtake and flies through air in a perfect arc, over your windscreen and straight through your rear window.
Then it will be time to take off your rear clam in a bid to try and bond in a new rear window.

Out of all the jobs I’ve done removing that window was s**t!

Looks OK to me Mark

If I just ignore this thread will it go away?

Too tempting is it Ade?

Looks good!!

Don’t knock it until you have tried it I say.

god no, if I still wanted a convertible I would not be on the Exiges forum

Being an Essex boy, i’m guessing you have a cabrio XR3i tucked away at home?

Ok, no doubt I’m risking opening up a can of worms but come on then, where does this come from?

I don’t get it. On the odd day when the weather is nice, I like to drive a car with the roof off. As well as being able to enjoy the sun, you also get to enjoy the increased engine/exhaust noise, its great. And as it doesn’t happen often it’s a novelty, gives you something new to try, like having another car. I know it looks better with the roof on but imo still looks good with it off.

So some might say why didn’t you get an Elise? I wanted an Exige this time around because a) I prefer the look of the Exige, b) I’ve had 3 Elises and wanted something different, an upgrade and c) IMO the residuals will be better on the Exige. So good reasons to get an Exige yes? And just because I’m likely to take the roof off a handful of times throughout the year is not a reason to discount the Exige, particularly as the roof can come off!! If it was more widely known the roof can come off the Exige it would open them up to a market of people wanting a two seater occasional convertible, therefore it would be more desirable and therefore improve residuals - better for all of us.

So interested to hear arguments against  And obviously more agreeing with me

God no, never owned one or wanted one either

This is going to be a great thread!! PMSL!!!

This thread is now on my personal ‘banned’ list. An Exige has a roof. End of story.

Exactly!
