Tomtom 730 or 740 live (anyone tried the live)



I need to order a sat nav in the next day or so as we be heading back to blighty soon. I will be ordering from Amazon as I get the VAT back.

So do I get the 730t or pay the bit more(you get a voucher for 40 gbp of fuel with it) for the 740 ? I am out of the country a lot so probably wouldn’t keep the subscription up.

730t = 178.50gbp
740 live = 188.65 (with the fuel card)


I hear the similar spec garmins have a re boot glitch so I have ruled them out.

Has anyone tried the new *40 range??

Hummm it would seem the 740 has no FM transmitter is this true? Some sites say it has some say it hasn’t? The TOMTOM site is blocked so I can’t check there.
