Time Attack @ Brands 8/7

Anyone else going to cheer Jamie on this weekend at Brands.

I’m planning on going with my boys.

I might swim down !

Great stuff. I completely forgot to post up mentioning it. Please pop into my garage (no.22) and say hello if you make it.

Randy has entered his Europa into the Pro Extreme Class on slicks for a laugh which should be good to watch. He’s running it at full power too I think.

There will be 4x F1 cars doing a couple of demo sessions along with some proper racing etc. Unfortunately quite alot of the Pro Extreme cars have still not finished being built. I think there are still about 60 cars entered in for Sunday though, so should be a good day.

Is it just the short circuit on Sunday?

Yep

It will not rain, whatever the reports say…

(If it does, I might compete in my van as I reckon I’d be quicker)

Will do. My boys love visiting pit garages…well ones that have the biscuits out

Good luck for the event Will!!!

Good luck bud !!

Ok, dish! (Please  )

wish I’d headed down, GP was ok-ish

Thanks for your support Benja. I’m just sorry about the weather and the fact that I couldn’t do the Lotus crew proud!!!

They were the most difficult conditions I’ve ever had to deal with I think. Not just wet, but so much oil from where a Focus did a whole lap on the racing line dropping all his oil.

Qually was ok and pretty dry but still lots of red flags and oil to deal with. I only put in a 51 which put me 2nd. The final was a different story as it was dry minutes before we were due to head out and then rained again, meaning I went out on dry tyres and only managed 6th.

Oh well, I’ve just got to hope the next 4 rounds are dry.

Well done for managing 6th on dry tyres in the rain

Yeah well done Jamie. Me and the boys had a good time.

The practice session was proper wet and we hung on to see qually where you were clearly making great progress up the ranks. It’s got to said, the car looks stunning :sunglasses:

What happened to Randy? He was certainly taking the fight to the big boys in qually. That Evo that blew up was mental, the way it went up towards Druids it was clear it had monumental power

Randy was third overall, but still only managed a 50 second lap on slicks. The conditions were terrible in the dry and wet, due to an engine’s worth of oil around the whole track. I think 3 cars went into the barriers as a result. Still good fun, but quite terrifying at the same time.

Well done matey!!!
