Anybody have a throttlecable for the vhpd engine on the shelf, i need one as part of an upgrade and a new one from Lotus is as expensive as the fuel it regulates, part number is A111J0140S

You can do the S2 throttle cable conversion for less than the cost of an S1 cable and the S2 cable is a proper teflon lined, spiral bound proper job, not just an over grown bike brake cable that is the S1 original
In case of the throttle conversion, which one do i need, a standard S2 Elise (non Rover i presume) or an S2 Exige
I use an S2 Exige, but an S2 Elise will fit do. The only difference is one is slightly shorter.

i was able to cut a part from the outer sleeve, the standard cable does the job for the moment now
but will look into the S2 cable as the advantages as you mentioned are significant
