Throttle cable routing

Hi all,

I’ve asked this question before on here but I think I need more detailed explanation/photos of what goes where.

In stripping my car down, I didn’t take note of where the throttle cable ran below the sump and up the corner of the engine to the top. As a result, I can’t seem to get it so the length is right.

Can someone who’s got their car with the undertrays off please give me a detailed explanation of where the cable routes to and what it’s clipped to and how? I’ve tried a couple of ways but it doesn’t seem as tidy as it did before.

Thanks in advance lads

George,

It’s p-clipped near to the centre of the shear panel then cable tied to the right hand part of the hand brake cable, has a crappy heat shield on it where it goes under the the sump (near the sump lower engine mount) and is cable tied to the lower part of the dipstick.

cheers

Sorry George

I took some pics months ago but couldn’t upload them - they are on the computer at home - u2u me your email address and will forward them to you.

Cheers

Simon

thanks for the info guys

Just be careful, I was looking at mine recently and noticed the cable was rubbing against the driveshaft.
