THOUGHTS PLEASE - Engine woes

Ian

sorry to hear of your problems - hope you get it sorted finally at Plans when you take it there.

Hi,
My Exige suffered engine misfire on two cylinders which was temporarily cured by turning the ignition on and off. Not the safest thing to do at speed on the motorway.
Faults recorded -
P0301 Cylinder 1 misfire detected
P0304 Cylinder 4 misfire detected
P1302 Boost calibration low
Does this sound similar?

15 minutes cleaning the air filter in hot water and washing powder and dried overnight on the radiators before refitting cured the faults.
It might be worth a go, its free and it cant do any harm.

What type of filter is that?

The original Pipercross conical foam air cleaner element.

Don’t forget to add the DRA - Dirt Retention Additive - without this the filter will not be filtering everything it should.

Thanks for the thought but I was getting many more errors than that, including some that claimed to be unknown.

Have had the offer of an ECU and speed sensor to try.
