Thought I'd best say hello...

Been a lurker here for a while… (Regular over on NYLOC though)

Thought I should post up a couple of pics of my daily driver, seeing as though I like both driving, and taking pics of it, so much: Few shots from a trip up to Skye a couple of weeks back.

A pint for the person who spots the subtle but key observation about the car.

Is it because it is green in almost the words of Hamilton!

Facelift on older car?

Short roof scoop on a 2010 car?

oh and it is definitely “GREEN”

NA?

Its really blue and not green???

No driving lights

De-badged (except the nose badge)?

2010 body but not airbag dash?

You’ve just run over a beagle!

lol @ Rob… well that’s how it all started!

I suppose a few of you are right really…

Car started life as an early S2 back in 2001. As Rob mentions, we had a coming together with a stocky little hunting dog, last year. An out of court settlement later, and my local body shop (AutobodyCare, Pudsey) came to an agreement based around the original repair quote, to give me a full respray…

Well… seeing as though someone else was paying, and I’d intended on a Honda/Duratec conversion around now (97k on the K series! Although it’s been rebuilt a few times and is far from standard these days), I went for a colour change and a re-bodying… I could never see myself getting rid of it with it’s high miles, so thought I’d modify it instead.

Compared to a standard S2 Exige, I’m running a bit lighter! In it’s S2 Elise guise, it was weighed in at around 730kg’s. Originally a “Race Tech” model, it lacked any of the lardy creature comforts like sound proofing, front speakers etc, making it as lard-less as possible. :up It has gained some weight with the exige alloys and clams, but shouldn’t be far off that figure still.

Should end up as a nippy little beast by the time all’s done. (I’m never done…!)

Few jobs to finish it off still to do this week - I’ll be along to NYLOC in it next Tuesday…

nice color!!

No front mud flaps, short roof scoop ???
re clamed Bitsa
wot U got in the back? 1.3 metro lump?

ouch - play fair

Fair play matey!!!

Did you use an original front clam or one of the after market ones?

If it was after market, how did it fit?

Looks great IMHO does it matter what’s in the back !

lol @ scoobs. Relax a little, breath deeply, less keyboard warrioring!

DVA headed K, cams etc…
Front mudflaps are at JCT still - keep forgetting to pick them up…
Short roof scoop - yep at the mo, but watch this space.

Clams are both originals from Lotus. Rear from Xav Brooke, and front via Junks, as new, from a chap that was going GT3 - looked at aftermarket one’s but wasn’t convinced by the quality.
