…it does!
I kind of like… any other pictures and details??
Ive been thinking about doing this exact same thing for a while to reduce drag and lift, I have just been looking that if I were to cut it on the top edge of the fog/reverse holes then I can still keep my mounting points
The only other bit was how to make it neat where its been cut, no point putting a lip as that will just add drag buy catching air, but I was thinking of a long strip of carbon on the inside edge to stiff it all up, though because i dont run wheelarches will I actually get alot of drag because the pressure can exit through all the holes in the clam
Yes, it is rather appealing. But I doubt I’ll be having a go with the hacksaw.
Like that.
Wish i was good with fibre glass, im sure you could make some really cool one off motors ftom a elise rolling chassis and some heavily reworked bodyshells
Like the front wheel arch but that’s about it.
where did you find this picture from, any idea what country its from?
It looks like a beach buggy. It’s horrid.
Would it actually do that though?
I thought the Exige kam tail was quite an aerodynamically stable/efficient shape?
We definitely need to see some more photos…
Not sure about the back, I like the front and side though.
Again, this is roughly what I have planned for my race car.
Jonnyfox can come and help with his dremel when you’re ready to get busy on the rear-clam bud
No need. I have a few tools that I’m ‘at one with’ and the Dremel is on the list.
You see that’s my problem, I’m not, I just think I am
Jonnyfox would have started by removing just one small piece with a dremel, and then ended up with the whole back removed due to small “slips”
