This months Evo magazine

I don’t buy the magazine, but I’m told if you look in this months Evo (out today) my Exige is part of another “Ultimate Track Car Shootout” at Bedford Autodrome. The only roadgoing S2 Sport 190 is also featured.

It’s in EVO’s Track Car of the Year.Your’s got the 5th quickest time (after a Radical, Ducati, R300 and er, something else). They called it a missle but hated the idle. They also felt that with that much power it showed up some handling gremlins.EVO is a top mag! This month’s even comes with a CD of some of the action from TCotY.Ian [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/smile.gif[/image]ps. How much quicker, through the twisty stuff, is a normal Exige than your Skyline? (and don’t say it depends who’s driving!)

Also in this month’s edition is a reduction on their Donington trackdays (in assoc with OnTrack) to 200 for subscribers (30 more for non).Anybody else going on 29th July?Ian [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/smile.gif[/image]

Ian, I might make the 29th - won’t know until nearer the date but I’m keen to try Donington sometime soon. Most peeps seem to consider it one of the best UK circuits.BTW, anyone been to Croft? Worth a long trek?

One at 1:17 and one at 1:15 (and the 1:17 was printed). I’m not sure where 1:15 would place me, but not 5th I gather.

The track was damp though, so how really knows!Call me a cynic but I think they used the 1:17 to make the new (offical Lotus product) Elise Sport 190 look good!Have you seen the vid from the mag yet? Let’s just say your hand quite obviously handles MUCH better than a Leading Edge 190RT!!!Ian [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/smile.gif[/image]

Pesky, not too far - it’s the nearest English circuit by some margin so if it’s good I’ll be paying it a few visits. Probably about a couple of hours drive but quite a nice one as it’s at the end of the A66, near Scotch Corner. Better than trawling down the M6 anyway.

Also in the news section (pg 15) of this months mag, is a story on a turbocharged K-series Rover is doing, apparently capable of 200bhp.I’m not sure turbo delivery would suit the Exige. Although maybe a modern developed engine would be more reliable, especially in a light car.Ian [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/smile.gif[/image]
