This is the only forum I actively post on, others I just post sometimes, I can live with the new “features” of the site as some are better, others not so, above all it would be a loss to lose it.

This “new” forum isn’t that dissimilar to the old one, maybe cosmetically there are some small differences, but it has many more features and benefits such as being enabled for mobile devices. A good percentage of our traffic now comes from people on their smart phones, so I see that as a good move.
To open links in a new window, just right-mouse click the link and it’ll open in a new tab.
As for layout changes, all feedback is gratefully received and processed in order of politeness.
Do you have a screenshot of what you’re referring to ?
Or just use two fingers to click the link - this mimics ‘right click’ then select open in new tab or window.
Agree it’s not perfect, but pretty easy work arounds 
Agre with the other positive comments, depending on what else is happening on my life I may or may not be here much, but this is the best exige related forum I know of and has loads of people always happy to offer helpful advice. so this forum overall gets a big thumbs up from me!
Sadly not, and now I can’t visualise it anymore 
But previously somehow we could see either on the main screen or within the sections more/snippets of what was written in the most recent posts in each section.
It meant not having to click down into each thread to see what was posted within. Sorry I can’t explain it better. 
It just made it easier/more enjoyable to quickly see what had been posted up in each section.
