The V6 Exige

I have just been excitedly reading up on this over on SELOC.

Apparently it is going to be built, but not yet or ever. It will be heavier than the S1 or S2 but not nearly as much so should still be nice and light.

Torque will be the big selling point, unless you are after more power as it will have that too, but definitely only in NA form, but with a supercharger on it. Air con will be standard & won’t work just as can be found on the Evora on a sunny day.

The price should come in under 50K if you are a total dreamer and want yours stripped out to the point it wont sell or maybe well north of 50K plus options to put it well of of it’s target market which is of course the existing forum keyboard warriors who only ever buy second hand anyway.

Expressions of interest are now being taken.

Lotus must have thousands of expressions, but mostly for one in 2019, with no more than 3 previous owners who took the depreciation hit first.

Me? I’ll wait for an official announcement

Clear as mud then

You’re forgetting that this is in addition to the convertible Evora that is and isn’t ever going to be made, whilst currently under going testing / has gone back to the drawing board. LOL

What’s the weight of an Evora S V6 engine over the Exige S 1.8 ?

Non intercooled I’d say 35 lbs. over.

the 2GR-FE has a service weight of 163 kg not sure if that is the same as the dry weight I found for the 2ZZ of 115kg neither of these are the SC varients

AFAIK the weights that Toyota give up include both manifolds and also the accessories. 163kg is not that heavy for a V6.

Frank wasn’t there a bloke in the US that bolted the Evora V6 engine in an Elise/Exige ages ago, how did that work out?
Also out of interest anyone know what the rover K engine weighs ?

Was done by monkey wrench racing

LInky

Yeah that’s the badger and they have already supercharged it I see , so an Elise with an a NA engine weighs under 950KG

They are using a different gearbox though it is not the Evora 6 speed

Now that’s looking kinda potent !!!
A serious licence loser …
Nice sound too
