No chance I’m afraid. Work is nuts just now and looks like I might be working some of Friday morning as well as getting the tyres fitted.
The route is fine all way to A5. I would stay on the A5 all the way.
The A494 is great but after the length of your drive it is not worth extra seat time vs. what you’ll get staying on the A5.
Won’t the whole of Wales be gridlocked by caravans on Friday anyway?
Yes but you have more chance of passing them on the A5 than on the A55

Looking at the map (remember them !) from my neck of the woods it will be up the M6, then the M6 toll, onto the M54 to Telford then onto the A5 past Oswestry, past Llangollen, then I have a choice:
Depending how fecked I am I ccould take the A494 south around the Snowdonia National Park, get the A470 north at Dolgellau, past Ffestiniog gogogogogogcchhhhh and connect up with the A5 at Bets-y-Coed
or
Carry on up the A5 and join up with the A55 just before the Mebai Bridge.
One adds on an hour but I’m sure the drive will be something else.
So, I need feedback from our Welsh/NW Exigers on the route…

I’m just in the office after dropping my car off at Sinclaires and Wayne had 2 ECU’s in his hand (both reflashed) but no idea if any of them were for your car…
