Good words Pesky (i’ve just done a box of tissues).
Back when i bought my 1st Exige in '06 and visited the forum then I remember you banging on about S1 Exiges and how bhp isnt everything and that if you own an exige and only drive it on the road you should be hung, etc, etc …lol. Good to see you’re still here going strong and havent changed!
Seriously though your comments nearly always raise a smile and you seem to make the time to post when most of us can’t always be bothered. Keep it up.
once you have been once Ray there is no turning back
And welcome
Thanks Ade
Car has been tracked… bought it for that purpose. Last time was Brands Hatch Indy. However, that was a few years ago and haven’t bothered since. Hope to get back into it…
I am considering joining LOT as they appear to have the right ethos…any views much appreciated.
Can I add my belated congratulations to Pesky on this momentous occasion.
I share his sentiments about exiges.com and all those involved.
Takes me back to the day I first spotted his blue, silver striped machine powering past me on the M61 with its distinctive number plate. Then I was an Elise S1 owner and lurking on the exiges.com forum trying desperately to deny my desire for an S1 Exige.
Not even meeting Mr P face to face for the first time at exiges track day at Croft was enough to deter me.
Then I bought one and his ceaseless clamour about driving it properly on track finally proved to much to resist.
He’s got a lot to answer for . . .
… look what happens… I go away for a week and miss all the action!
Brill milestone Rob! It’s been a pleasure to know you since we first met at Donny a few years back. I remember it well as I was admiring your car when some daft old gravy drinking tosser hopped inside and drove off!
I knew it was a mistake though and that he had got in the wrong car… as I noted he was also wearing ‘coke bottle’ glasses… then I met you 20 minutes later at the drivers briefing!
Yes well done Rob. I actually can’t even remember when I first met you so it must be a very long time ago as I’ve had the car nearly eight years.
As I said at the time I bought the car, it was partly the enthusiasm created on this forum by Rob and the other long-term patients that made up my mind up to buy an Exige in the first place. That initial atmosphere still exists today even though there’s lots of new blood and a few of the lads now residing in the ‘where are they now file’ (Uldis, Mike Lane, Rox etc etc).
Here’s to another 10,000 pearls of wit and wisdom Roberto.
I still remember the welcome I got from Rob and Russ at the B&B in Angelsey on my first Exiges trackday … mostly because of the fact they looked so comfortable together at the breakfast table …
However I soon realised Rob is a fantanstic ambassador for Exiges, the enthusiasm is always clear, but the care and responsibility for the smooth running of our small community is all happening in the background.

Is it just me or did you just make him sound like a gay mafioso?
