So I guess the question on everybodys lips is, did the new owner, who thinks his car has been a cosseted garage queen, know that in fact it has been a track slag and ragged to within an inch of its life???
In my view it doesn’t matter. What an S1 Exige is worth is totally dictated by its current condition. So much on these cars wears out and needs constant refurbishment or replacement, looking at old pictures has no bearing on its current condition.
What is the Chassis Number please! (Last 3 digits on the RHS rear wheel subframe)?
I would be amazed to see any evidence that the plastic roof, held in place by some bolts and fasteners, would offer any additional stiffness! The Elise was designed as a softop! The Exige ‘just’ makes it a Coupe!!! (Bloody cool however!!)
Other question to ask, is it the same car? Ok, they’re both red, albeit different shades of red, and have some BBS wheels, but we all know that upgrades come and go, and lots have taken their upgrades off when it comes time to sell.
The new owner, Emmanuel is a Lotus dealer/specialist, & it appears he has bought this car for his personal use. He certainly knows his onions (yes, I know! ).
