The new Yokohama A048's

Wonder if anyone can help me… I’ve had my Exige 3 months and now need a new set of tyres (everywhere I’ve looked seems to charge about 700 a set unless anyone can advise me different??).Do I go for the A039’s or do I go for the A048’s (bearing in mind that I use the car as a day to day run around)? What are the A049’s like in the rain?

If your using the car as a daily driver then you dont really need the softness of the A039 or A048’s, unless you drive like you stole it [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/grin.gif[/image]I went for the Toyo Proxes as a road tyre and have found them very good in the dry and wet, they take a bit of getting used to as the feel of the car is different but at 360 for a set they wont break the bank [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/smile.gif[/image]I also have access to another set of wheels with A039’s on if i do a track day.Philp.s. i have 2 sets of A039 fronts with around 5mm of tread left if you or anyone are interested.

Went for the AO39’s in the end but just the two rear for now as they cost me 520 with fitting…will have to wait till end of June for the fronts 'cos I have to pay for an A service next week and I know it needs brake pads aswell. But it’s worth it!

The rears were originally 220 plus vat, but the price came down in Dec 01, if I recall correctly

Try here next time… SELOC Forums Cheers
