Looks good Vincente!

Hi Asrael

Thanks very much, whats do you think about the prices and the info, language, material, tech solutions, etc…

Your opinion and the opinion of others is very important to me.

All the best

Vicente

Hi Vincente,

For a start I’m biased - I have one of your 1.9 blocks in my race car

The website is much improved over the old one, the technical/material info and explanations are good too.

The prices are whatever you say they are, who can argue as no-one else really manufactures 2.0 blocks anymore.

Regards
Steven

Hi Steven

Eh, what a surprise to me.

Then you are a person who has a block mine. One of the three blocks I made for Dave Andrews long ago.

Well, I hope that you are happy with my work, although is a small apotacion in your engine, is important.

But I thought the Minister, Judd and Simon Erland had their own 2.0K, well that’s what I thought until now, this is another surprise for me.

Thanks for your advice in the next revision will incorporate on the web that you tell me.

Alll the best

Yes, it’s one of the 3 DVA engines. I’m very happy with it so far and Dave spoke highly of it too.

I dare say a few people still make a 2.0 K, but what I meant was no-one puts the details on their website like you do Vincente, though I don’t think Judd make theirs anymore as I asked them a few years ago. I’m not sure if Scholar still make theirs either - both companies no longer have details on their websites.

Cheers

Hi Steven

Well, I do not know the reason for this, but I think that the people that make the race engines want have keep the tricks for this.

My philosofy is another, if in something I can help, I want help without problem.

Of course not all is explained, but if many thing.

I am very happy that you are agree with your engine.

Hi Steven

I will continue with my explanation, before I had to finish quickly because I have a baby of 16 months and needs a bit of my time.

Also I think that the companies that living in this, need try that others not copy your work to increase sales, fortunately not in my case, I not live of this, I have my job and this for me is a passion and a hobby.

Also when someone is proud and confident of your job the best from my viewpoint is explain and give details of your work instead of hid.

I think that 2.0K engine tuners made a big mistake according to my viewpoint.

The rover engine is limited by the low height of the block, make a stroke too large, implies to have too short lenght between con rods centers and this severely limits the use, max number of rpm and engine reliability.

I think the ambition of bringing the k series engine to the 2,000 c.c pure, was a design error that many have paid dearly.

It is better to lose 40 c.c. that can be amount to 10hp and have a more reliable and safe motor that allows you to retrieve the 10hp and some more with the ability to increase slightly the number of rpm.

Of course this is my opinion, and people can agree or not.

So what are the power of this 2.0K is making in a safe running condition for road and track?

Hi Lautll

Well, in the previous version, I got 256Hp at approx 7700 rpm, and this was not the limit of rpm or power, because I do not use the car in the circuit races, I use the car in rally and I need another spec tech.

This new 2.0k have a crank with a improved lubrication system, the internals parts more lightweight and more strong with a better materials and less friction with the option tri-metal bearings.

I hope that you understand I’m not going to make a circuit race engine if there is no customer who needs only to know what the max limit of power and rpm.

But I can say it will be more than 256hp without any doubt.

The most important thing is not knowing which end max power, if not how many rpm you get this.

All tests point to 8200/8300 rpm as an acceptable and safe limits for the engine.

But for you to have an approx idea, any cams that at 1.8 k arrives at 8500 rpm, in the 2.0K this cams no arrive more than 7500/7700 rpm, because they are small for this engine.

2.0K engine need cams bigger to exceed 8000rpm.

Will this engine be streetable??

Hi Lautll

I am sorry, my english is limited, I do not understand this word “streetable”

Do you can explain to me whats do you ask with another word??

All the best

Vicente

Hi Again

I you talk about if is possible the use in the street, of course, yes.

Do you can use this engine under any circumstances, If not, would not make much sense to work in the 2.0K.

I have many customer who have purchased only for the use and enjoyment of 2.0K for the street.

All the best

Vicente

Hi, Thanks for your quick reply, so what is the cost of the engine as i see the price is on the core exchange basis i guess from the website?

Hi Lautll

Well, I hope that I understood right.

The prices for the short block is, to street or track days version 4150 euros and the race version 4450 euros.

These is so, if you send a short block on blank to make it.

If you do not have a short block on blank and I have in stock, you has that add 350 euros.

And then you can add the expenses from send to you.

The labour to assembly it from this year is free, as celebration of 5Th aniversary.

All the best

Vicente
