This will be my first, be popping in Saturday afternoon! So what’s the score, anything reserved ref parking for use lot, who’s there from here, who’s on track etc…?
Jonny
You’ll have to park where you can for the show - the car park opposite the Exhibition Centre tends to get filled very quickly from 9am.
The LDC Stand is all S1 Exiges this year - you’ll see a few of the regulars from here with a nice mix of K Series/Audi/Honda n/a, & Honda s/c
For those who haven’t already joined, I can highly recommend the LDC (Lotus Drivers Club), so bring your 27 with you
AFAIK quite a few Exiges are out on track with LOT on Saturday.
Fingers crossed for a dry weekend
Where is yours Pesky… Stand or Track!
Has the pit wall construction finished?
See ya there!
This is my first one too as a new Exige S2 owner. I’ll definately be making a beeline for the LDC stand with camera at the ready…
Pete
On the LDC Stand.
No idea whether the Pitwall works are complete or not, sorry.
Yep, look forward to seeing you, & everyone else there over the weekend.
PS RussT & Lambogenie have their own stand too
Might pop down for this, whats the general opinion on it? Any good?
Damon
There’s always something of interest - over the years it’s developed from being predominantly “classic stuff”, & there’s now lots of things for the modern Elises/Exiges. Elisparts always have a great stand - you can usually collect pre-ordered stuff.
Always some lovely cars on display.
However, the big thing about the show is meeting/taking the pi$$ out of mates old & new ie it’s a flippin good social event, & of course, there’s a LOT trackday on too.
I would have thought that it’s somewhere Simtis would want a presence next year, as it’s always a well attended show
I’ll bob down for a nosy on Saturday then.
Will have to meet up and put a face to the online personality that is Mr. Pesky

Cheers Tim - fortunately, the photos made up for the words!
I didn’t know about this. Is there a website with details?
Thanks

Are many people members of Club Lotus? Worth it?

Cough…
In a nutshell, Club Lotus is a privately owned profit making organisation, whereas Lotus Drivers Club is a members club, run by, & for it’s members. You pays your money…
I’m doing the track day, come and say hello.

Just to add to Pesky’s comments, it’s mostly supported by the older brigade, who mostly have lived with Lotus through thick & thin times. A few current model owners, but mostly the older cars. I’ve been a member since 1987, but other than the odd get together don’t bother too much. The magazine/benefits/web site all need a serious makeover IMHO of course.
Graham Arnold was a good chap though (sadly now RIP ) He’d had spells with Lotus back to the 50’s & had a life in the car industry. It’s not quite the same now
Will the track day be open for spectators this year???
Will the track day be open for spectators this year???
Yep - but not in the Paddock/Pits, according to something I read from Paul Goldiong this evening. That implies that the pitlane redevelopment work is still in progress.
HTH
Cheers Rob I better bring the big camra lens then
I think they said August mate in the BAT track briefing
