The Heater is heating!

Hi all,

What a lovely day for a drive, ben out since 2pm “doing errands”… Mostly the long way round mind

Anyway, there was a few moments of getting cooked to death inside the car, even though the temp wasn’t getting too high, maybe 90C top when stuck in traffic and the 82 stat has helped but…

…my heaters will only blow hot ALL the time so had a peek at the heater matrix and saw the cable going in but noticed the bracket that has 2 bolts holding onto the cable isn’t attached, it looks like it’s pulled the mount out of the top of the matrix (there’s a big hole type thing)… Would this mean that the heater settings aren’t changing? I assume the cable needs to be mounted to pull and push the heater matrix flap…

Does this sound right?

Thanks again,
Mark

Ding!

the same happened to me when I got the car. On max hot all the time.
Told them to check that at first service and they told me they found it loose.

Must have been the same guy assembling our cars at the factory!

But yes, a bracket needs to be attached for the cable to work properly.

Excellent! Thank you

I think our guy also fixing his tractor at the same time eh?

I also found 4 little metal clips in my PX door when fixing my leak (all done! Yay! Got it jet washed and NO water came in )… Dropped a brain not working, unbolty thing that goes on the end of a ratchet… down there and recovered it with the ol’ magnetic pokey thing and “recovered” these 4 clips

Oh well, weight saving I guess

And then people wonder where all the rattling comes from, it’s all those litlle pieces left by the same misterious worker at the Lotus factory!
