The first press review is out

Hmmm used 997 GT3 would have to be driven back to back

I like the look of that, and i’m not really a green fan.

And would kick it’s ass - only downside is consumables etc. I know I’m looking

Should speak to Markyb Chris, he’s about to sell his. You saw it at Spa last year. It is perfect in ever way…like Georgie

Only been tracked ever that one day before he hired a BaT car.

Edit… Be quick!

Why oh why do the freakin loons at Lotus still put an open diff on a 350 HP mid engine track car ???

Apart from that I quite like it !
The electronic gizmo,s sure might help their target audience stay on the tarmac but pumping 350 HP and big torque through one wheel ??
I really don’t understand why ? … A 220 car will light up the inside rear out of tight corners and a 310 will light both rears (even with a slip diff) going into 3rd gear in the dry…
… Yes , electronics will reel the power in to cut wheelspin ,but, for fooks sake just channel the power through 2 wheels in the first place not one …
Rant over

Agreed

Nice review with some good details - I see the GT3 comparison is being continued, I wonder if this is something that Lotus are pushing as a target audience or just a natural comparison by the journos?

I’m guessing there’s a quick fix available off the shelf for the diff; and what’s the potential for tuning the engine some more.

does it work that way - I’m not certain but thought I had read that it brakes the wheels independently which should transfer the drive to the opposite wheel which has the grip?

I’d expect the traction control to only cut power if both wheels were spinning at some rate greater than movement over the ground?
