The Cholmondeley Pageant of Power

So who has heard of this and is going?

http://www.cpop.co.uk/

Never been - heard it is an absolutely fantastic event - so am going

The Lotus Drivers Club have a stand for the first time this year. We thought it looked good too, so we are going. If anyone wants to bring their nice car onto the stand contact me on 07930 134029 or [email protected]
As always first come first served and I only have 3 or 4 spares.

It’s a wonderful event in a very picturesque part of the world. If I get my arse into gear I’ll have the Exige on the LDC stand. I’ve got an album of photos from last year’s event here if anyone wants to see a bit more:

I’ve been a couple of times - it’s only been going a few years - and it was origin ally, unofficially, labelled as the Goodwood of the North. It does have a sprint course and a good selection of cars and personalities but it is even further way from pure motor sport than the Festival of Speed. It is a good family day out with plenty of things to see and do including some old cars on a (Micky Mouse) sprint course, racing boats on a lake, military displays, helicopter rides, all that sort of thing. If the weather is nice you will not regret going along and I’m pleased that LDC is supporting it this year.

Are you going this year, Mike?

Can’t make it this year Andy - unless something changes…

Are you at Loton this weekend then, Mike?

Yes!

Well worth a visit. Make sure you buy the paddock ticket so you can have a good nose around the cars and bikes.

Is it VSCC at Loton, Mike? Not far from Shrewsbury to Cholmondeley, couldn’t you do a day at each event?

Not really, I’m on duty at Loton.

Fair enough - they pay the bills! Are you at Silverstone for the Classic?

Yes, but not sure which days yet.

Good stuff, Mike. I’ll be down Saturday/Sunday so perhaps we could have a brew and a natter.

So any reports from those that went?

I don’t know whether this does justice to the prevailing weather, Steve?!
