ah was ok, mainly for the antics with the old cars, we used to drag around stuff with a mates nova
They kept talking about the 80s, but all the cars were 90s cars!
The golf was from the 80’s but only just, G plate was 89
And to add at least that version of the fiesta was available in the 80’s even thought it was a 92 not sure on the Nova was never a fan of them…

Those cars were too new for them to be using from their youth. Fare enough, Clarkson’s MK2 Golf GTi was just about right. But when May turned up in XR2i, that was far too new. Should have got an earlier XR2.
Show felt more like a filler than the openner.

G was a changeover year, later ones had the bigger bumpers and single pane side windows so dare say that one was '90
A good point well made, in reality all the cars they chose were just about 80’s but not really, very poor in my books, Escort RS turbo Golf GTI 16V and 205 1.9GTI would have been much better cars, but also would have cost a shed load more than £1k each as well.
Haven’t watched the last 3 series so couldn’t say if it was good or bad but I felt with me at least it’s had its day. I don’t even end up with it on should it be on Dave when I can’t find anything to watch of my Sky boxes azillion channels. I do watch, Drive, Evo TV, Jay Leno’s Garage all the time though. Occasionally I’m drawn to Carbuyer but I don’t know why
