Testing the water - 07 S, upgraded.

Wasn’t really buying or selling but suddenly have an unexpected but tight deadline to respond to an opportunity on another car, so checking if anyone is interested in mine. Quick move or no big rush, I may just do a little more winter fettling and keep for yet another year.

2007 220 S chrome orange, touring, second owner, I’ve had it since March 08 at 12k miles.
Now at 75k miles, daily use in summer plus avg 5 track days per year, maintained to perfect mechanical and cosmetic condition regardless of cost.

I have had it at it’s current spec for about 4 years now, in no particular order:

  • braided brake lines.
  • K&N Typhoon induction.
  • Nitron fast road/track one-way with Eibach springs.
  • AP racing 304mm front discs and 4-pot calipers, Eliseparts grooved rears. Carbon Lorraine RC5+ pads all round.
  • Eliseparts 7/8" ARB.
  • Forge replacement stainless steel intercooler.
  • Forge replacement stainless steel rad.
  • 2bular stainless back box.
  • Chris Neil’s 260bhp upgrade.
  • Exedy stage 1 clutch.
  • Recent gearbox refresh.
  • Harness bar and 4-point harnesses for driver and passenger, 3-point seat belts still in the car also.
  • New Momo steering wheel, spare fresh original available.
  • set of Lotus forged lightweight alloys which have Toyo R888 track tyres.
  • full set of winter tyres.
  • usual niggles eg heater control switch and A/C sill pipes sorted.
  • recent re-spray and re-application of venture shield and new front splitter.
  • road wheels recently powder coated, Conti Sports tyres.
  • new windscreen due to a stone chip.
  • All discs, pads, tyres very fresh, car is 100% in every way.

Receipts for the above plus all service work available.

Price usually helps selling a car!!!

Ah yes forgot that bit. Based on my last scan of PH classifieds I’m thinking around £28k or so.

Original back box and intercooler available also, I meant to say.

To be brutal, with 75,000m you’re probably looking at early £20k’s

Buyers are sadly VERY mileage sensitive :frowning:

As I say, testing the waters, didn’t do much research but I do have the forged wheels as well as stock rims included.

Don’t think I’ll shift it in time to move on the candidate replacement this time round in any case.

Pity about the mileage sensitivity which as you say is real, as in my experience cars that are used and maintained are a safer proposition than those that sit around quietly developing potentially expensive problems.

What do you know about Exige prices??
