test drove the Exige S2 today....

ok I test drove the exige S2 today.
and the verdict is…

It’s a Great Town car that even my mother can drive!

However, I still prefer my S1 because it has a real lumpy engine, it sounded right for a sports car, it’s Hardcore!

none of these, aircon and electric window stuff!

plus the sales manager said that he would only accept 17K as a trade-in on my Exige, and he would not take my Honda converted example because he could not resell it.

…and he would not take my Honda converted example because he could not resell it.

Phew, so you have to keep it, I bet that was a relief

I know when I test drove the S2 , I thought at one point I was driving my Nissan Almera through town .

So quiet and comfy

That Lotus dealers attitude REALLY pi$$es me off!
Because after they offer 17K they go and sell the car for 25K. We have seen that in the past!
How daft do they think we are to lose that much money to step… laterally (instead of up) for a new car?

To$$ers!

I’ll ‘take’ you Honda converted one

As Gasman says, there are plenty of guys out there who will PREFER your Honda Exige rather than a standard Exige.

Although if I were a dealer, I wouldn’t buy/sell it, as then I’d have to warranty it.

That said, there’d probably be less to pay out for.

Putting a warranty on a car isn’t a problem.
Putting a Lotus-backed warranty on one is slightly trickier… though they often end up being managed by the same company.

Ahki,

If your planning on selling your Honda Exige, i’m sure you won’t have any trouble find a buyer (me included. Drop me a line! )
