Anyone else using this at the moment (um) Ha Ha !!
Managed an hour in the car yesterday and as I was low on juice I filled up at Tesco. Will be interesting to see how it compares to Shell Ultimate.

The Tesco 99 octane stuff has been my fuel of choice for the last 3 years - never had any problems.
I have always put Shell optimax in mine but then I have a shell station not so far away.
I’m the same but have heard mixed reviews on Momentum so I thought’d I’d give it a go.
Only trying a change as the last time I was at Oulton I filled up at the Shell up the road and the car ‘felt’ less powerful and response post fill. Of course this could have been the dreaded heat soak (or is it soke ??). Apparently petrol does go ‘off’ after a time and if they’re not getting through it fast enough you can end up filling up with ‘old’ petrol
Yeah, just like fizzy drinks, petrol can go “flat”.
Ive always used tesco 99 stuff in mine too never had any issues
Tesco 99 has been fine for me, the was some talk that it goes off quicker as its washed with butane or something like that. Pretty sure it was the britcar and touring car standard fuel.
I will say though that mapping my car on 7 month old total super was a bit stupid.
Tesco 99 for me as well
I’ve only ever used Tesco 99 / Momentum and think it’s great! I did use Shell in my last car (Elise SC) and didn’t feel it ran as well as it did with the Tesco juice in it.
How about BP ‘Ultimate 97’?
Tesco 99 all day long…although nearly ran out of fuel on route to Sincs for mapping and had to go with Shell which it was then mapped “drinking”.
Clues in the title - only 97 Ron . Have used it but not as good as Shell. I’ll let you know on Momentum
Anyway don’t you stick jet fuel in your’s ???
Tesco 99 for me last 3 years or so.
Odd Shell optimax OK but always prefer Tesco 99.

One thing I’ve been wondering - as petrol does “age”, with the current petrol prices I suspect not many people fill up with anything other than 95 these days…so I suspect alot of the SUL has been sitting for quite a while?
With the location of Tesco filling stations round ere the bloody car would be gone by the time I’d paid for the fuel !!!
