Has any one tried the Tesco 99 Fuel ?
It apperas from an article on Pistonheads News | PistonHeads UK (sorry don’t know how to do Clicky)
That it is the best performer, better than Optimax and BP Ultra. I guess this was before Shell v Fuel.
Any thoughts ?

Not yet, but it’s not on sale at all Tesco fuel stations at the moment. This a link to the store locations that are selling it. The link swiped from an old posting by Alex on the subject.

Does the higher octane actually improve engine performance?
i.e. Does the ECU map accomodate use of a higher octane?
I have been wondering but not got around to testing it myself.
S2 possibly will - does it have a knock sensor?
S1 would need remapped to compensate…
The main benifit is the added safty margin my car only gets 99 now
Yeah, I tried it. Still think Optimax was better.
