Tanker strike threatens Anglesey TD ???

Not looking good boys and girls…

For you lot that drive there lol. Ill have a full tank and 100l in the trailer lol

I see - I’m all right Jack :astonished:

Better get those jerry cans bought, filled and dropped in. The van is filling up quickly with stuff!!!

I would take some more but only have the 4 cans. I don’t mind taking some more fuel if people get there cans to me.

I’m sure if the strike is over the weekend though the garages won’t run out till after the weekend so we’ll be fine.

I’m sure Phil will be chuckling in his black smoke monster. I bet he manages angelsey and back plus the trackday on one tank

That would look like panic buying !!! I don’t subscribe to that although I have just driven round 3 empty petrol stations before I found one selling super unleaded !!!

Where’s Frank with his methanol injection solution??? Could be about to come in handy!!

Eddie Stobart and Wincanton Distribution are trying to muscle in on the tanker industry …
Historically ,tanker drivers can earn up to 45K a year …
FOOKING Stobart is trying to pay their drivers just 8 per hour !
I fully support the drivers and hope they bring the country to a standstill.

Think you’ll be in the minority throughout the UK, mate

Do YOU work for just over the minimum wage doing a highly skilled and very dangerous job?
No … Thought not !
Support the guys ffs

My black smoke monster should do over 200 miles on the day on a single tank of bio diesel.

Sadly however I trailer it and my 550i tow car likes a drink and will not get there and back on a tank!

I have not had chance to sort the 2.0tdi 16v twin turbo motor so sadly stuck with 220bhp ish 1.9

Not a chance. 45k per year is twice the average of other truckers and significantly higher than the national average wage.

To use safety as an argument is simply scaremongering because they know they have little public support, especially at a time when everyone else (well, except civil servants…) is having to make savings.

Of the firms who’s drivers were balloted, Hoyer, DHL & Dentressangle are all non-UK owned so would simply bring in drivers from elsewhere in their EU networks to fill any gaps.

Sadly all it will do is give rise to a pathetic rush of panic-buying by selfish idiots without a thought for anyone else, thereby causing exactly the supply problems that they’re whingeing about as ‘justification’ for their own dumb actions.

I generally support the downtrodden workers! Perhaps we could have a run to the picket lines at Stanlow oil refinery en route to Anglesey.

great idea - us lot tipping up in our ‘toys’ on the way to a TD to burn fuel and tyres going round in circles should cheer them up no end !!!

Think of me I might never make it home, can’t get home on a tank of fuel from Anglesey even if I drive ubber careful :frowning:

Lock em up I say!!!

I’m off to fill up all my jerry cans for Anglesey, I wont be panicking though, so I guess that means I am OK!!

What will Jeremy Clarkson have to say about it
