T1R's

Need some new front tyres, I have T1Rs on the back, anyone know what their like on the front? Does it make the steering any heavier at slow speeds?

I can get two for 178 off fleabay

What are you curently running on the front?

Get Yoko AD08’s or Toyo R1R’s if you want a more road orientated tyre. T1R’s are not really that good.

If I used my car as a daily drive I’d use R1R’s…One thing you do not scimp on is tyres.

R1R’s here too

…but most trackday tyres are not just over-spec’d for road use but as with AO48 can be positively dangerous in certain conditions…

In which case you need A039’s

Still got the factory tyres on the front.

Would it be the 205/50/16 for the front for the R1R’s?

ta

i think its 205/45/16 for the fronts …

if money was no object then get the ao39’s… they are superb. sadly stupidly expensive…

My view is that, whilst T1R’s get lots of flack, they are actually not too bad for general road use during the winter and spring (given the crud on most of the roads in Yorkshire!). As long as you do not expect track levels of grip, they can be a lot of fun and they are reasonably progressive when they do let go. Still run rings round most cars out there. Keep the expensive ones for when they are needed and can be appreciated, but then it does help if you have a spare set of wheels.
