Haha well. Because camskill do not have a due date for the R1-R I will get the AD08 the fronts still have go tread thou so should I leave the fronts or replace those as well they are R888
DO NOT mix AD08 with 888s.
That’s cool. Full set all round then . Take it 205/50/16 87v are ok as that’s what they have for the front
Yep, go for it.
Should it not be 205/45/16 on the front to protect the headlights??
i have ad08’s on and ive been pleased with them…
get 205/45/16 for the fronts as said… ive had no problems from going 195 to the 205 at all…
Going to order a set of AD08 at the start of next month will try and see if I can sell the front R888 as they seem to have good tread on still
Well went to order them as thought its close to next month anyway and now they have R1Rs back in stock so stuck back in the middle again lol my luck
i just picked up a full set of r1rs for 484 from camskill since they have a big discount on the rears atm and seloc discount on the fronts is another 12% i think
How do you get the seloc discount? Take it you have to be a member?
yes
In spite of my previous statement that T1Rs are ok, I have gone and bought a full set of R1Rs from Camskill.
You dont need the Seloc membership if you use the discount code TOMOTEMP1
Of course those offers and codes may change

I’ll let you know how they are after our Alpine tour.
Early indications, and following a GEO check by Phoenix, are very good.
I went for the AD08 would of wanted R1-R but they were out of stock again. Get them fitted tomorrow
any feedback on the tyres
Sorry for late reply. I went for the AD08 and think they are amazing for an all round tyre. Have a lot more confidence in the wet with them as well. So made a good choice I think
2000+ mile tour to the Alps in September gave my R1Rs a real good test.
Very pleased with them and a good sure feel. A few slides on the twisty passes going from dry into wet patches, but easily controllable and predictable.
A very wet day on our way back through Germany reduced us to about 50 on the autobahn, but again felt comfortable. Unlike an Elise that was with us on Bridgestones that were shot. He was aquaplaning everywhere.
I wont be going back to T1Rs but my first trackday on them in May this year will give me final proof
I had an Elise 111r with the bridgestones on and always thought why don’t the exige have those on for an all round tyre. Can see why now lol
I’ve just put a full set of Michelin Pilot Sport 3 on mine. 400 for a full set from Camskill. I went for these as I wanted a tyre I could use in all weathers (its a daily drive) I also wanted a tyre that would last more than 5000miles!
Haven’t had a chance to put them through their paces in the dry, but in the wet they feel a lot more sure footed than the A048s I took off. The road noise is significantly reduced also.
Be interested to see how you get on with those Mark
I noticed that with the AD08 that the road noise was reduced and their is no feed back from the tyre to the steering wheel over high speeds.
