Syvecs release iPad digital display App...

Syvecs release iPad digital display App, and Bluetooth device that pushes all ECU data to the App.

And I quote “Data logging is coming soon”

This means the £250 Bluetooth device, plus a £250 iPad mini gets you an AIM dash for a third of the price!

Plus you get all the other iPad features and Apps.

Sounds good. Heard about the iphone one that has been tested for a while

But would you really want an ipad fitted to your dash? Aren’t they rather large?

Ask Mr Fox… I mean he had a 55 inch flat screen TV fitted that worked ok!

sounds very cool , wonder why they didnt go with wifi over bluetooth for a faster refresh rate .

The iPad mini is 20x13cm with a 7.9 inch display, so not too big.

It raises all sorts of possibilities though for a really nicely designed colour digital interface, and future capabilities to make adjustments via a touch screen dash.

Torque does similar things on Android …
Maybe not on a par with this but a great budget way to see real time data.

Yeah the PLX kiwi is also good and fast wifi for Apple with the Rev app as a budget viewer and data logger .

plus you could also have satnav

Also, as an iPhone / iPad can have internet connectivity, it should then be possible for screen mirroring meaning a tuner could observe / alter a customers ECU settings over the internet while the customer is driving down the road at the other side of the country, or world.

‘Lost’ on the ‘new generation’!!!

I suppose it will give you something to read while sat in the gravel trap waiting for recovery :unamused:

I guess if John was doing track support etc, he could look on a tablet with an internet connection, and use screen sharing to check how a handful of cars on track were managing, so long as they all had a phone or tablet connected to a Syvecs on board.

If he had any concerns he could check with Ryan (Syvecs) then either one of them could make live alterations to a car.

Not sure about live updates as you are driving around.

Might resolve Boothy’s going flat problem though!!!

Definitely live readings though, then you could post a message on screen saying ‘pull over’ while adjustments are made.

Are you trying to put end end to insured track day cover?
