Suspension Spring Pressure Rates

What pressure rates do you run on your S1 front and rear? Whether it be with Nitron, Koni or any other set up you have id be interested to hear please?

Std mine had 300/350 (52.5/61.3) springs.
After adding the K20 engine I’m running 325/475 (56.9/83.2).

My Nitron NTR 40s run 425 front and 550 rear, but the suspension is more track biased.

The NTR 40s are more track bias over the SS2, standard Street Series2 are 275/350lbs and NTR40FastRoad are 400/475lbs.

Nitron spring rates go up in 25lbs increments I believe.

375F/450R on Gaz 1 way Monos; firm but still soft enough for the road.

I’ve tried many permutations with my nitron 46 dampers.

In the end I matched as close as possible the ratio for the axle weights (loaded with driver only) = 42% - 58% or 0.72 and settled on 450/650 (41/59) using the antiroll bar to adjust the balance.

It’s really too stiff for UK roads but if I changed it softer would keep the same front/rear ratio as the balance is spot on for a pointy car you can really drive on the throttle.

Don’t forget you have to allow for preload, wheel rate, etc. and not just work on basic spring rates.

I have 235 F, 325 R on my Ohlins, which were set in conjunction with the factory some years ago.

Mechanical grip with these, over the standard setup, is significantly improved. ARB adjustment is effective for correcting under/oversteer.

Having the adjustment on both compression and rebound is good for track settings and, also, can be softened for road use to reduce harshness.
