Suspension Bushes

Hey All

Looking to change all the bushes on my car. It’s mostly used for trackdays (currently only 1 a year). What does everyone recommend?

I have Nitron 46mm with ridiculously stiff springs (700 and 450 from memory) so I’m not to concerned about ride comfort but I’d like to retain some if possible and also if i come to sell it I do not want it to feel like a track car.

Cheers

Mark

Mark I’d be changing the springs with 46mm dampers to 450/550 at the very least. Stopping at or around 1 TD a year I’d even go lower. Fairly sure your car already feels like a track car compared to most others with that set up, not sure how a change of bushes will help.

I changed my Bilstines out for the Nitron 3-ways with 750/550 springs…and the ride was much more pleasant. You will not get a harsher ride from those springs and Nitrons…just do it!

Really nothing wrong with OEMs BUT if you change to any fancy system you MUST grease/service them every year.

If your going to change from OEM forget the Nylatron types and go for the spherical joint types.
They don’t wear like Nylatron and don’t need constant servicing, they don’t increase the harshness either in my experience.

I’m with Andy. Rose joints all the way.

Or standard if a road car
I have rose joints mine…no adverse side effects at all

Yeah, nowt wrong with standard bushes either. I know a fair few well tracked cars that have stuck with standard.

yeah rose joints here, I forget they are solid on the road TBH
