For those who don’t know how the qually works…
There are 2 groups, who both have 15 mins, with the top 4 of each group then going through to the next round. They are then “paired” (only 2 cars on track at once), with 1 out lap, & 1 quick lap - the quickest of the pair then goes thro to the semi. Quickest of each semi goes thro to the final.
As you can imagine, in the 15 mins group stage, most drivers get 4 or 5 quick laps in. But, Craig had a gearbox problem in practice, which meant he was delayed for qually & only managed 1 out lap, & 1 quick lap. He finished 4th in his group! He then got through to the final.
Obviously, he’s been watching the Racing Sod, & thought it would be a good idea to spin off At least he’s on the front row for Race 1 tommorrow
