Supercharging Exige S2?

but Frank, how we going to get the Tri point here in the UK ?

It is now a Kit…check out www.moremonkey.com

What injectors do you use Frank? I dont want the exact spec if thats hush hush, just whether they are bigger or if you run a fifth etc.

Cheers

They’er 440cc…comes with the kit…hey I’m just a consumer…
just thought you guys might want another source for power…

Seeing that ive not been keeping upto speed on your site where abouts are the details cos i cant find them ( i never said i was clever)
Cheers Gav

All the details are on www.moremonkey.com just reg and you can get the info you need…it is now in kit form

Hey frank - what do you recon to the Hass kit for the S2?

If you want my opinion stop over on moremonkey…hass and ragnorak…well just read the treads…I can’t realy speak freely here, might offend the ladies…

Ok girls I’m done with my air to water intercooler…This is one cool muda…Intake temps never went more than 15* above ambient at full boost climbing a long and steep grade. Car pulls as smooth as you could ever imagine from 3000 to 8000 rpm in sixth gear. not that I ever drive that way but this sucker is fast…Under full boost my intercooler pulled out 85* of charge temp…I have thermo cuplers before and after the intercooler…for pics check out www.moremonkey.com now to add a smaller pully and up the boost…It was too hot to get any good dyno pulls yesterday 108* in the shade…Frank

We will commence engineering a low pressure turbo/intercooler installation next week on my S2. I need a week to have some fun in it first, before we pull it apart.

Cheers

Allan

Why are you going that route? Turbos have never seemed very ‘Lotus’ to me.

Even the supercharged Exige S isn’t really that much quicker over a lap.

A few Esprit owners might disagree with you there

Tim.

some elan owners too!

We are experienced in Turbocharging and if the components are carefully matched to the job we will have a car that has:-

The torque it needs from 4000 revs. Increases day to day in gear acceleration, driveability etc
The ability to rev like before, should you choose.
No real weight penalty over supercharging.

There is an old saying. “Quoted horsepower sells cars but torque wins races” Our car should be quicker over a given course/lap than any of the current crop of supercharged cars.

We prefer “ploughing our own furrow” not following convention

I did think about that, perhaps I meant Elise then. A lightweight revvy thing.

Ian

i’m not sure if you guys have seen this, but there is a stroked, turbocharged S2 running around here in Aus utilising a modified forced fed kit…seems like it works to me…
