Supercharger Dyno Plots

Here’s a comparison of a Std 190 Exige and the TT260 upgrade [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/grin.gif[/image] [image]http://www.exiges.com/gallery/comparison.jpg[/image] Here’s an Excel file of the plots HERESeems like 7,500 rpm is my new red-line though… I can live with that.[This message has been edited by Admin5 (edited 25 July 2001).]

Very impressive, particularly the fact that the power and torque are never below their normally aspirated equivalents, which can happen with turbos. Now all you have to do is drive it! This is the latest missive from TT: quote:The test results produced Friday 20th July are the final figures -but withdevelopment items, not production pieces (aesthetics & durability - notperformance related).Development parts such as the air trunking and pipework, the charge coolersystem, radiator, fuel rail and various brackets and fittings are now beingjigged, drawn and manufactured both here and by outside suppliers. Oncecomplete, they will need to be plated / coated before final assembly toyour car.Once complete, final shakedown running and adjustment will be carried outbefore final handover takes place. So, it looks like I’m facing several more weeks wait…

davidweren’t you there for the rolling road tests?..would be interested to know what it sounded like - any difference in the noise other than possibly louder? Can’t see rear tyres lasting long!!!

David,I just put your engine data into the car-test 4.5 program (which I’m sure you’ve already done yourself!) and it reckons you’ll hit 100 mph in an incredible 7.9 s!!! And if you lived in Germany you could reach 159mph on the autobahn! Seems I’m in the right country but in the wrong car…!Greets from Germany,Nikolaj

Interesting !No, I’ve not put the car through that test… I can’t see it doing 0-100 in 7.9, not without a close ratio sequential box at least.Still, be fun trying ! [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/smile.gif[/image]

davidwith those spare slicks I think yo should give it a good go trying…Elvington has a long runway (3 miles) plenty of space to get it up there and back down again several times

"…So, it looks like I’m facing several more weeks wait…"Be honest David you have sold the car along time ago and remain in denial ever since…

This is hard to believe. They use your car as a development mule and they openly admit it. [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/shocked.gif[/image] I admire your patience. But the car should be worth the wait. I have tried a turbocharged Elise over here (Germany) - it was incredible and it worked! [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/grin.gif[/image] Although the character of the car was transformed.

I guess the flipside is that I hope that they’re trying to do the job properly and not rushing it…Either that, or they’re inept [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/grin.gif[/image]
