Sump baffles - which one?...

Hi All,

I’m taking the car in soon for its annual fettling, and it’s been on my mind for a while to put a sump baffle in. Looking around, there is one on Eliseparts for 75, my mechanics Lakeside offer one for 200, and I remember Dave Andrews has manufactured one in small numbers for 80-90.

Is there a consensus on a particular baffle that has a proven track record…
Appreciate any feedback that would assist my choice /decision.

Just noted a difference between the Lakeside offered one and the rest…it includes a modified oil pickup pipe, whereas the Elise parts / DVA one uses the OE pipe.

Aren’t the Eliseparts and DVA ones identical?

Yes they are

I’ve an EP one I’ll be fitting before the engine gets any oil in it… or rather it’s one I made myself as an identical clone of the EP one as I had ready access to one, a lasercutter and a brake-press
