Struggling with insurance

Well tomorrow is my first test drive of an Exige S1, i am so bleedin excited it is untrue. I have been wanting one of these for years and i am NEARLY there apart from insurance!

24 (25 July) 1yrs NCB is the issue. Never made a claim and no offences. Best is 1600 with Admiral which tips me over my budget of 1200.
Have checked with the performance car insurers like adrian flux, greenlight etc which were suggested from previous posts.

Struggling… any suggestions. Sabre seem to be underwriting most of my quotes, is this purely as i am 24 still and in the high risk category. HOW i wish for once i was older!

Any suggestions??? I cant get THIS close and fail at the last hurdle

Guessing it is just a suck it and see!

Re reading the post it is a bit of a closed question, but i am just SOOO close to getting my dream car i am a tad frustrated.

I can tell from all the posts esp pesky and the rest of the regulars that it IS as good as i think it will be.

My brother who has had a VX220, Clio V6 & soon to get a S2000 (likes his cars, and they all drive well, would like an exige.

wish you guys could pull some magic out of the bag advise wise…please

try autotorque

I think this is the last one to try but the office is shut.

The worst thing is that if i get it this coming week i wont be able to enjoy it as i have friend visiting from Aus. Shame as a week off to… sun shining… open country roads of yorkshire!

ask for a quote with limited milage per year, say 3000 to 4000. makes a differance.

Thats not a bad point. It will be my sole car (not worth keeping the other, trust me!!) so i had registered it at 7k miles, but i doubt i would do that.

Really good idea i will give it a whirl at 4-5k

Cheers Rob

elephant will beat that price, i paid 1300 with 1 years no claims bonus and a 19000 claim to my name but i went for a 750 excess and im 24. I think the year before the claim i had 3 years no claim and it was around 1100 a year. It wasn’t the Exige i claimed for though i had an Evo 8 then.

One of the few advantages that being an OAP brings, 370 with SAGA for a S/C Honda conversion.

Have you tried aplan?
