Strange Noise

While in the garage last night I was distracted by a strange noise. Tracked it down to the top left (as you face the car) area of the radiator - car hadn’t moved for 4 days and was cold.

It sounds like a bubbly hiss BUT there is no evidence of a fluid leak. Car has air con and the ac pipes run through this area so it could be that.

I ran the engine for 5 minutes, again no leaks evident but the sound remains.

Now confused and thinking that this will get expensive… Any ideas as to what this could be?

Cheers,

Rich

Just driven car and aircon not working!!!

Looks like a leaky pipe or dodgy condenser…

My air on stop working last year. Last thing you want to go wrong when looking at 700 labour before they do anything lol

Keep the cars weight down by adding lightness.
(Rip it out and throw away)

And have all of your windows steam up!

if mine ever goes wrong I will consider binning it, but whilst it is working I could not bring myself to take it off.

Dodgy deal done to fix!

Area of the leak is known and labour not to bad…

Would it be cheaper to rip it out lol.

Short term yes… long term no… I would never buy an S2 without it’s aircon.
soo desirable in these cars if only to see where you are going!

Thought someone might say that. Mine still gas gas just does not seem to work. So thinking the compressor may have gone. Idk. It’s the next job to get done, just know it will cost abit.

There’ll be a few cheap compressors for sale on here due to the xray vision ability of some lol

People changed the wrong part lol

isn’t there a relay fault sometimes that stops the aircon working?

If it is that it would only cost 11 to fix.

Sadly, its the compressor…

Tried Junks or …Rocky!

Not good news, aren’t they just a Toyota part off a corolla or similar?

There has to be a few lying around from the lightness brigade that have em removed ?

I have one from a car we took apart if you’re stuck
