Here’s the text/pic for those without seloc login :

By Ben Bullock
My Ford Cortina stolen from garage in nottingham some time this week. Distinctive twin tail pipes with no silencer. Please keep your eyes open. Please can people like and repost as much as possible to spread the word

I guess you can only say ‘Bullocks’! :open_mouth:

Indeed,…he’s not exactly over the Mooooon about it.

Terrible that it’s been stolen - but is that Cortina actually a Lotus Cortina?

My thoughts exactly but it seemed too insensitive to quibble, LOL

Come on guys…
May of us have cars that aren’t what they say on the tin, My Exige isn’t (its an Elise) but if it was stolen the pictures would look like an Exige
The guy must be really pissed off. We as petrol heads can only imagine how he feels when some twat steals your pride and joy
When my MV Agusta was stolen I was gutted so I feel for this chap, Hence the reason for the post in the first place

They are not having a go are they? Just making an observation from what I can see. Maybe it is a dig that I didn’t notice.

Main thing is locating the car, whatever the pedigree.

Real or not these cars all have usually have financial or personal commitment or both, i feel for the guy completely :frowning:

Sorry where was I being dismissive seriouslylotus? - I was asking a question that’s all, please read the whole of my post - as the owner of a genuine Mk1 Cooper S that was nicked I know exactly how the guy feels!!!

No dig intended.
Genuinely felt angry on the owners behalf, but my initial thoughts on the photo were that it actually wasn’t what was said on the tin. Decided not to post as it seemed a bit insensitive and someone might get the wrong idea and jump down my throat. Ho hum.
