Stolen Audi RS4 (2007)

Hi guys,

I know the chances are slim and this has nothing to do with Exiges but I need your help and you just never know …

For any of you who live near liverpool, leeds or manchester can you keep an eye out for my (Sprint) Blue Audi RS4 which was stolen on Monday night (just in case they havent changed the number plates, it starts with EIG 8xxx). The little fookers broke into my house at 3.30am and took the keys whilst me and my family were sleeping (well until the patio door smashed in anyway).

I think someone else on here had this happen to them and I thought they were just unlucky. After talking to the cops it would appear this crime is on the increase in manchester.

Thanks,
DSE

Sorry to hear this, David

Thanks Rob. Scariest thing that has ever happened to me. Just want my bloody car back now

If I were you, I’d get rid, & buy something less “desirable” for everyday use.

I know it means that the “scumbags” have “won”, but it’s just not worth risking yours, & family’s safety/wellbeing for. Don’t know how old your kids are, but they could get caught up in something that would upset them for quite a while.

Although it’s never happened to me, it’s one of reasons I sold my EVO V1 in 2001, as I knew a couple of peeps whose EVOs were carjacked in broad daylight. Terrible inditement of the society in which we have live in these days! Thank goodness the Exige always gets the thumbs up/smiles from everyone, including the hooded yooth & “dealer” types you come across whilst driving.

Me David, baseball bats outside my office last year…really sorry mate Don’t let them scare you off, I jumped straight into X5 (what was I thinking)and jumped straight out into an M3 Saloon 8 months later…[censored] THEM! You can only fit tracker into 3 places into the RS4, they found mine on the passenger footwell along with my plates 1 1/2 hour later. Spotted by an off duty copper in traffic on 04 plates, it was recovered, they got away…thick [censored] twats! Since buying the M3 two have gone from near where I live albeit coupe’s (roads away), the last was Thursday last week, door kicked in at 9pm…9PM!!! But this guys like me leaves the keys very accessable and very in view.

Again Sorry David, hope all involved from your end are ok. Hopefully they’ll die from a drug overdose in a pile of there own puke! Although not in your car

Rob I know I said I’d be more conservative next time I buy a new car, it was more about the money I’ve blown - 7 cars 5 years. If you want a nice car and work hard to do so you should. As well as high performance cars, all sorts go missing! A clio cup’s worth as much to the 1.2 Chav as mine is to…well whoever wants it!

That mate is backing down!

Unfortunately its all too common

When I had my Elise I was targeted in traffic once driving into Birmingham. A car on false plates blocked me in on a busy island one morning, a guy jumped out and ran up to the car shouting for me to give him the car or something similar at which point I reversed up and hit a car behind me!

He saw this and ran back mounted the kerb in his car and sped off - Police couldnt really help me as the real car was registered to an innocent school teacher in scotland who was unfortunately pulled over 3 times in the following week and also ended up being harassed because of it all.

DSE - I hope you hear something and agree when things like this happen it scares the life out of you!

I hear what you say Jonny, & as I alluded to before, giving in to the scumbags is not a good moral attitude. However,I’d personally not tempt fate (& the chance of some drugged up idiot threatening me/family with a gun or a knife), if I can avoid it, by having a car of the type, which is well known to be targeted. Obviously no car is safe from theft, but the likes of RS4, Scooby, EVO, BMW (various models) are attractive to the hardened criminal who is after a 4 seater capable of outrunning the cops in a chase after a robbery etc.

Again, location will play a part, but most of us live reasonably close to major cities/towns, & tend to regularly drive the same routes on a day to day basis.

IMHO to little cops on the road and this plays straight into there hands. I’ve never seen a camera pull a car over, nor will they get the 3 points should they drive through a speeding camera…I will/you will be left to sort that out as a late reminder that some [censored] c**t took my car. I hate the govenment, they’ve [censored] up our country right and proper. I’m starting to rant, sorry all

Any news David?

A 240 volt feed to the drivers door handle would sort out the good for nothing tw**s.
Might have got away with it in the 80,s but not now the criminals have got the do-gooders backing their human rights…

Free Tony Martin !

I had a problem when an intruder tried his luck last year…
He got into my property but fortunately I managed to overpower him and then called police to arrest him.
The stupid guy pleaded not guilty in court till we produced my CCTV disc…Yes I got it all on camera!..The fight and all… you should have seen his face in court when they played the disc!(he changed his plea to guilty at this point!)
Police were very grateful for the footage as they said without it he may have walked !
He got done for criminal damage and assault.
The cops said in that situation I could have used whatever force I needed to to disable him!
Good CCTV these days is not expensive… I,d recommend anyone to install it if you have valuables.

Seriously tho : could have been worse- you wer’nt injured.
Good luck with either getting it back or seeing the offenders brought to book.

Bar stewards!!!

Thanks for all the comments guys.

They found my car last night in a lockup near Manchester (Salford area I think). Strange going to see your car after someone else has trashed it … its weird but I am not 100% sure I want it back really :O(

That’s how I felt, you’ll end up taking a big hit financially. You found it, that twat who robbed it couldn’t afford it and never will. Get it cleaned up and enjoy that car Dave I wish I’d never of sold mine, I’d still have it now Good luck

ironically after breaking into my gaff last night they couldn’t find the keys (cause there not [censored] there) Alarmed and disturbed by my mate next door they ran off to a waiting car up the road, [censored] bastards! Locksmiths are a bit pricey these days…

Very sorry to hear this mate

Not good news Jon

Bloody hell, you nearly got done again Johnny!

I’d purchase a large angry dog if possible.

C***s.

Or a Bengal tiger

I’m fairly sure I saw these guys checking out the car 2 weeks ago bold as brass. I should have moved it. Still a lesson learnt and further increased security. I’m going to start a new thread out of interest…watch this space?

CCTV Jonny…
Thats the answer.
This way the police produce convincing evidence to the courts and secure a conviction.
It’s not expensive these days (costs the same as 2 rears).
Lets get the “censored” locked up and picking up that bar of soap !!
