Still a bit quiet here

OK, I know there are a couple of photographers on here, and looking for some advice!!

Need a new camera, after the workshop ate the last one - with half of the someone’s build pictures on .

Don’t want to go SLR or anything that takes ages to sort out, either pre or post. Looking for a point and shoot sort of thing, that can cope with most things, and you can just pick up and use. Max £150 or so, hopefully all in.

Any suggestions?

so lots of options really:

At one end of the spectrum you can go for the compact, slip in your pocket, sleek point n shoot. Nikon, Lumix, Canon all do good options here:

Or you can go more bulky, but more optical flexibility to zoom etc:

However as a curveball (sorry broken budget) samsung galaxy camera 2 essentially runs Android in the back, so any app you can get for a phone you can run here. So upload directly to facebook in the camera, or probably more usefully automatically and directly to photo hosting like dropbox! No more docking, leads, removing cards, oh and you could run Torque on it and use it as a cheap track recorder with ODB overlays!
