Steering Wheel Suggestions?

Can anyone recommend a replacement steering wheel? I fancy something with a bit more thickness on the grip than the standard wheel (mine is an 07 car with the original wheel). Possibly suede or Alacantara. I was looking at the Momo Team, does anyone have this wheel fitted? Any comments? Ta Dan

I have the Momo Tuner, mounted on a removable boss. Has a nice feel to it.

Is this the one on the V6 Exige Cup cars? Looks pretty much similar. Where did you get the removable boss, and Is It a good fit, no play or anything In It?
Cos I quite like the look of this myself.

Also meant to ask. Does it bring the wheel any closer to you, or Is It adjustable. I like the wheel position at the moment, even further in would be beneficial to me.

Speak to Dave @ Seriously Lotus he does the parts to achieve the factory look without the factory cost!
Removable boss is the best I’ve seen/felt works well & puts the wheel in the standard position…

Momo Corse Suede 320 mm for me with removable boss…it’s the one way to go :slight_smile:

320mm same as standard… Various size wheels available from a variety of manufacturers!

I believe it is the same as the V6. The steering wheel and boss comes from Elise Parts, they have different depths depending on whether you want the original position, or to pull it slightly closer, and yes they have a lotus badged option for the centre if that’s important to you.
It’s a completely solid fit, no play.

Nightspirit, can you let me know where you sourced your 320 corse suede from? I can’t find a supplier online so I’m guessing it’s discontinued?

I want a suede wheel at the same size as the standard Exige wheel and can only seem to find smaller or bigger. I was looking at the Sparco R300 but after reading on the American lotus talk forum a few guys posted that whilst they thought it was a great wheel, the 20mm difference makes it feel really small and compromises view of the stack if your over 5ft 5"! Which is prob all of us apart from Pesky! :wink:

I have the OMP 300mm wheel with the flat bottom and I have no troubles with seeing the dials, also the flat bottom just makes it that little bit easier for getting in and out

Thanks for the pic, that OMP wheel looks bang on, do you have a removable boss with that, if so which one? Cheers Dan
