I have just measured my steering wheel from the outside to the other outside and its a 320mm wheel. I want to make sure I am comparing like for like with the ones I am looking at on eliseparts. Can someone confirm how the wheels are measured please ? Does anyone have any experience with either of these wheels -
Hey Dave actually my measuring technique was all wrong when I bought mine but it’s a great wheel nevertheless, same shape as my old (05) wheel but slightly thicker (BMW like). Loads better to grip with or without gloves and haven’t really noticed any difference losing 20mm on the diameter. The boss on elise parts btw is a good well priced mod which I had done at the same time. JSR fitted it in no time at all.
The Sparco wheel seems to have gone up 10 from Demon Tweaks.
The boss was 137inc from eliseparts…I was fairly sceptical about it at first but it’s actually a very good quality product.
John (JDS) at JSRacing fitted mine. I had it done with loads of other stuff at the same time but he assured me hed flown through it…I think only about an hour maybe two of Labour!
Ive got a sparco alcantara wheel with boss going surplus which i had on s2. Same size as std airbag wheel i think with flat bottom and complete with boss.
If u want have a look at it can bring to oulton on 30th

I had a leather Momo 300mm on my Elise 160. Looked great, but not really mad on it… a bit slippery when going sideways and the steering effort went up too (old bugger!)
When I had my Exige ( ) I bought that 320mm Sparco in Alcantara (suede ) as well as the snap on/off boss from Elise Parts. SUPER wheel in every respect! (Especially making the getting in and out bit easier!!!)
The ONLY bad bit is over time, the Alcantara went a bit hard and shiney in the 3 and 9 positions… the solution is not to hold on too tight!!!
GREAT mod. I still have the orginal Exige wheel… (yes I know I should have swapped it back prior to selling… along with the AP rotors and the Emerald!!!)
