Mines looking a bit tired. What’s the score here, can it be refurbed, I only ask as the service manual doesn’t recommend it? Or do I buy a new shiny one. I’d like to keep the car as stock and original as possible but I’m guessing it pays to fit moderately up-rated parts where necessary…

I know for the S2 the dealers offer an exchange for a new one for about £150 Jonny.

What about a lightweight steering mod Jonny, ditch the rack and column and fit two bits of string to the steering arm’s to pull on
