Std. alarm immobiliser

Does anyone know what make/model the std. Alarm/Immobiliser is?? My insurance company are chasing me for it and I don’t have a clue and can’t find it in any documentation.

I think its a meta Alarm System. Just trying to find out the model

Its either a Meta M36T2 Thatcham cat 2 or M99T2 Cat 1

The M99T2 includes the M23 cockpit “intrusion” sensor and a powered siren and was an option

Thats the info I have. All cars used those alarms until late april 2002 when its switched to the Cobra 8581

My car was one of the last batch of cars made and was registered Sept 2002. Does this mean it has a Cobra alarm? If it’s of help the key/alarm button looks like this:

Same Key as mine - its a Meta cant tell you which one - but thats easy … does the alarm go off with movment in the cabin ? - then its the MT99

i’d be 80% sure its a MT99T2, but if you call Lotus with your VIN they will confirm.

2002 - can’t have been, sure its not 2001 ?

All S1 Exiges had the Meta alarm, the cobra alarms have a seperate key fob.
