Did a sprint at Curborough today … well should have been in a boat really
Anyhow the buckle on my harness sort of fell apart releasing the cover and bits onto the floor, a little distracting a it happened just off the start line
It seems the plastic top bit just gave way where its screwed to the metal body … that meant it was fun trying to undo it … which is a bit of a hazard really …
Managed to take apart the passanger side one and use it but think this should be a safety notice or something …
In the meantime I need to get hold of a new buckle … sure that will be easy
That must have concentrated your attention for a few vital seconds…
I thought these things were supposed to be completely bombproof, so you could have a bad accident or drop them or stamp on them and they should work as well as they ever did…
Never mind, though - this is a chance to get colour co-ordinated ones !!
Perhaps you could pick one up at Donnington next weekend ???
Back tommorow via the tunnel ( for a change ) and its looking to get more permanent
Ian, yes standard buckle with big red push button … well I did a time of 37.46 which is 2 seconds off my best in the Exige but the track was really “green” and everyone was spinning, a Boxster got just past the 64 ft timing beam and spun I think it was a case of changing into second just as he got grip Lucky it wa sjust a practice day.
Another Exige was there, he purchased it about 3 months ago … well pleased with it he told me
