Stalling when pulling up at a junction.....

Taken the exige out for a spin today (only got it yesterday !!) and it seems to have a habit of stalling when coming to a stop at junctions/traffic lights.

Am I right in thinking that an emerald will cure this ? If so is it a DIY job if it comes with the correct map ?

It’s had the 190 upgrade but could really do with help as its my everyday car

Thanks,

Paul

Installation of the ECU is a little tricky as the connector needs to be soldered onto the loom and access is behind the passenger seat. The fuel pump relay needs to have it’s polarity reversed as well. I have a good map for the Exige which will work well if the TBs are setup correctly and the throttle pot aligned with the map.

It might be an idea to fit verniers as well to ensure the cams are correctly timed.

I do a kit for the Exige comprising ECU, verniers and a map, but you could just as easily buy the ECU and verniers direct if you wish, I can still supply the map and wiring instructions. Make sure you specify that the ECU is for an Exige so that the necessary modifications to serve the aircon are included.

It may be that you just need to open the throttle adjustment screw a little…

Hi Dave - Thanks for the reply, I was hoping that the Emeralds came with an adapter lol - I should have known better

How much would it cost for your kit (ECU, verniers & map) - pls pm if you’d rather not post on here.

I will definatley be getting a Emerald soon but if it might help as a tempory fix where abouts is the throttle adjustment screw?

Sorry if the questions seem daft but I’m still getting used to the change from the elise - but am loving every minute !!

Will PM with contact and kit details.

The throttle adjustment screw is between the two TBs rear the backplate, just behind the throttle cable bracket, it is fitted to the nearside TB.
