Hello again,

thanks for all the help in the previous posts…

Right, today once slowly warmed up and then thrashed a bit it started squealing between 3k and 4k. sounds like a belt slipping. It only happens when in gear and moving, not when clutch is dis-engaged.

Also the little black plastic t-piece, i think in the vacume line between the inlet manifold and the airbox, is sucking really hard and loudly. Haven’t noticed this before. Is this normal? Once you tap your right foot it stops all together. Normal???

Any input would be much appreciated.

have you tried driving the car without your girlfriend in the car??


i find that often stops the squealing.
