squeaky brakes

I know the car I bought has ali belled disks on but not sure on what pads are fitted. (maybe Pagids)

Is there anything i can do to stop them squeaking as i sound like a taxi driver everytime i come to a standstill.

If it was only a small squeak it wouldnt be bad but its a proper loud squeal !!

Please help me !!

Take it to the circuit and give 'em a good workout - it will shut the squeal up for a while.

put a high temp copper grease between the pad and the piston.

Buffer pads on the back of the pads and in the top/bottom of the calipers. But be prepared for different pads to still queal.

Race type pads are usually slightly smaller than OEM to allow them to expand when hot. Unfortunate side effect is they move about a little when cold (as they’re not such a tight fit into the calipers) and so squeal.

Thanks guys - will give this a try over the next few days and report back

Ok - after taking pads out found out they are Mintex, Are these fine to use with ali belled discs ??

Tried the copper grease but has made no difference

Anyone know if its possible to buy buffer pad material in a sheet/roll ?
