squeak fixed at last

If any one has had a constant squeaking noise coming from the front passanger well. Then get the front two suspension bushes lubricated. This stopped it immedately. Thanks to the very helpful mechanic at Peter Smith’s sports cars.Cheers Nev.

My goodness does this signal the end of the Exige cherp noise? No please no…Nev you could have made a load of friends or maybe not, some of us rely on that noise to tell us if the drains are too deep on the road etc.Well done if this works i will try it out later, Mark

Nah, The yip will stay [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/smile.gif[/image] i have nylatron bushes in mine and it still yips. So i guess its not the rubber bushes that cause it.Most yips i have heard are from the rear of car, I think its movement of the rear calm that causes it.Phil

my tuppenceI get yip from all 4 corners and am 95% sure its soething in the suspension set-up - the top-mounts? does it have top-mounts??

Sounds like you suffer with the same noises I had. Not sure if this is the Yip or not?To cure this noise they lubricated the front two suspension arms bushes were they meet in the front centre of the car. Sorry not to sure what these are called.But as my local road looks like it has been carpet bombed I had to get the squeak fixed or my wife was going to make me get a Boxer and that was never going to happen.If you love the Yip then long live the YIP.Nev.[This message has been edited by Nev (edited 20 February 2003).]
