Sport exhuast

Well… im about to by myself an exige:)…
But im just a bit curious abot the exhaust system I got…
First of all its not stainless steel (is this normal??), its without cat (97% sure)… And the end of the exhaust is 1 pipe (oveal)…
Is this normall to be with a 190 uppgrade. Was just looking at exhaust systems on the net and I cant find mine there (oval type).:frowning:

It seams u have a janspeed but not stainless.

Yep… I guess ure right

Im a bit curious what u guys uses. Is it sport exhaust with or without cat. And is it a normel cat or the racing cat version??. Also curious how the sound and horsepower will be affected with or without cat (racing and normal version)

Hey niceguy, you gotta find that search button, there’s sooooo much stuff on Exiges.com and lots about exhausts! - Larini, Eliseparts, Da Edwards, etc

Ian

guess what I found the button .:)yohhoo

heh…well I have found lots of useful information… im just in kind of rush here… anyway… I think I know what to do now… We have traced down the original cat and it will arrive soon .and I will have it fitted and the run a new emmison test. just to be sure there is nothing else wrong with the engine before I buy it. And then I will compare the sound at least (cant run a horsepower check:(), and then I will deside what to do. to keep the CAT on or just fitt it in duriing MOT test.?? … well if some ppl have done this before to compare… it would been interesting to know ure opinium about it. If u loose some hp or if u think ure ruiing the sound …
Just have to say…without this site I guess i wouldent consider buyiing an Exige in the first place, since there is no good service place here for Lotus…

The difference fitting a sport exhaust and decat pipe on my car was immense. But not at the top end of the rev range but
in the mid range. When i fit the original exhaust and cat for the mot…the engine has so much less grunt.
